Class action against NSW Government and Brad Hazzard to be expedited

Today Justice Sackar of the NSW Supreme Court ordered that a class action against the State of NSW, Health Minister Brad Hazzard and Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant be expedited. This means that the matter will be heard and decided earlier than would otherwise be the case.

The claim is a legal challenge to mandatory COVID-19 vaccine requirements for some NSW workers in the State’s highest court.

The claim is also against the various public health orders of the State of NSW and Brad Hazzard.

The matter has been adjourned until 8 September 2021 for further directions.

If you require legal advice in relation to COVID-19 vaccine requirements please call 1800 180 500.
